More information on Freedom Trail
Visitors will recognize the Freedom Trail by the red brick or painted red line along the sidewalk, demarcations for 2.5 miles of some of the nation's most noteworthy historical sites. Among the sixteen sites are the Paul Revere House and the Old South Meeting House, the site of the Boston Tea Party. The Trail spans from the Boston Common to the Charleston Navy Yard. From April to September, free guided tours are offered to tourists who first stop by the National Park Service Visitors Center. Children will be charmed by the costumed characters along the Freedom Trail, offering a great way to learn about American Colonial history.
