The 'Combat Zone' was once an area of pubs, piano bars, barber shops, karaoke parlors and other service establishments mainly for American GIs and Japanese businessmen. Although the GIs left some time ago, the red light flavor remained until a recent government crackdown. Now the area is much cleaner but reminders of the past remain. Malibu is a standard pub with pool table and television sets. It is quite popular with both westerners and locals for its pub food and drink. The burgers are big, but the Buffalo Wings are particularly recommended and staff are friendly.
