More information on Bishop Museum
Founded in 1889, the Bishop Museum is the largest museum in Hawaii and holds one of the most impressive collections of Polynesian artifacts in the world. Located in Honolulu, the museum houses over a million pieces, including artifacts from ancient kings and queens, a life-size replica moai idol, and a gallery of 14 million indigenous insects. The museum also houses a 16,500-foot science activity center, a planetarium, and a Victorian-style hall filled with Hawaiian cultural objects.
