More information on Greek Evangelical Church

One of the most interesting features of Athens is the contrast between and the coexistence of the old and the new. This is certainly true in the case of this Presbyterian church, which is surrounded by temples of the Ancient Greek religion. The Presbyterian Greek Evangelical Church—which is made from gleaming white marble—stands overlooking the Temple of Olympian Zeus, directly opposite Hadrian's Arch. Services are held in Greek, but there is also simultaneous translation into English. The Sunday morning worship service starts at 11a and there is a Bible study class on Wednesdays at 7p.
