Most of the city's luxurious hotels are found along the beach, so it stands to reason that many of the shops are located not too far away. One street away is Ben Yehuda Street, where you will find souvenir shops, jewellers, and restaurants. When it turns into Allenby Street (southwards), things become a bit more interesting. You will come across the Carmel Market, with all its wonderful treasures, the Nahalat Binyamin craft market, and of course, the hip and trendy Sheinkin Street, where everyone who is anyone comes to shop, sip fancy coffees and be seen. Also, visit Kikar Medina in north Tel Aviv, with its designer stores in rich surroundings, and Jaffa for arts and crafts. Easily walkable, with lots to see and to hear, as this middle eastern city is noisy, as well as modern. Great shops, great atmosphere.
