More information on Woolaroc Ranch, Museum & Wildlife Preserve

Originally established in 1925 as a personal ranch retreat by oilman Frank Phillips of Phillips Petroleum in an attempt to preserve the beauty of the Old West, this facility now is home to a large museum complex and wildlife preserve. The name Woolaroc is taken from "woods, lakes and rocks." The ranch hosts a museum, a Native American Heritage Center, a petting zoo, a drive-through natural preserve, a nature trail and more. About an hour north of Tulsa toward Bartlesville, this is a great day trip for the family.
