More information on Johor Bahru
Johor Bahru is situated on the tip of the Malay Peninsula and is connected to Singapore via a one-kilometer causeway. Its appeal is its numerous shopping complexes and seafood restaurants, attracting many Singaporeans on weekends. Night bazaars and street side vendors are commonplace. Malaysian cuisine is well starred while seafood is concentrated along the waterfront to the west of the center. Attractions worth visiting are the Royal Museum, the 19th century Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque and the animal park. To get there: Express buses at the Ban San Bus Terminal near Bugis subway station take you directly to Johor Bahru.
