Situated directly across the street from the District Court, the Court Jester Cafe is frequented by lawyers, police, defendants and local workers. The Court Jester Cafe is a no-nonsense café—a decent bite to eat and drink at a reasonable price. It's actually a good place to sample quasi-home baking, New Zealand style scones, ginger crunch and lamingtons are all available here. The cafe does not pretend to be avant-garde—the clientèle have other things on their minds and want something familiar.
