The palace is a professional training ground for sportsmen and women and for specialized sporting schools. It has three indoor ice skating rinks, a hockey school and a figure skating school. Outside there is a large skating rink located in the famous Sokolniki Park, along with various amusements. The cloakrooms are comfortable and warm, but they don't rent out ice skates here and also, they don't clean snow from the rink often enough. The place is popular with teenagers.
