More information on Arcos da Lapa
Also known as the Carioca Aqueduct, this structure was built in the mid-1800’s to bring fresh water to the city of Rio de Janeiro. The aqueduct currently serves as a bridge for the Santa Teresa tram, but was a steady source of fresh water for over a hundred years.
