More information on Choctaw Indian Heritage Festival
Sponsored by the Chucalissa Archaeological Museum, this festival offers a chance for event-goers to learn about the culture and arts of the Southeastern Native American tribes such as the Choctaw people, who have inhabited this area for centuries. Demonstrations of music, singing and dancing celebrate the heritage, while artisans exhibit and sell their wares, which include baskets, pottery and ceremonial items.
