A place for great food and drink, and a would-be cinema as well! The atmosphere is comfortably retro--only just avoiding kitsch. Staff is friendly and helpful. Many regulars bring out-of-town visitors who want to get a "feel" of Melbourne. Watch the sumo wrestling on television or catch a classic film during regular beer garden screenings. The food is a little pricier than at most pubs around town, but the quality surpasses the typical pub meal.
