More information on Musee de l'Infanterie
Come and discover the history of the French infantry from 1480 to the present day. This little museum was created in 1973 and is filled with 800 illustrated documents, 43 mannequins, and 130 pictures and flags allowing you to travel back through time and learn about the evolution that the infantry has undergone over the ages. On the ground floor is the ancient history room (1480 to 1815) and the room of the African Army (1830 to 1967). On the first floor are the 19th and 20th-century exhibitions. In total there are 1500 items retracing the history of the infantry.
