More information on Victoria Arms (The)

Originally built in the 17th century on the site of a ferry across the river Cherwell, this Wadworths pub is a real treat because of its hearty high-quality meals. Although a long walk up the winding driveway from Marston village, the pub is well worth the effort and there's a large parking lot if you decide to drive. In the winter, a roaring fire adds to the welcome, and there's a constant stream of theme nights for extra entertainment. In summer, what better place to stop for a drink than at one of the tables in the large garden that shelves down to the river's edge?

Traveler Photos of Oxford

Love that ochre shade Somewhere in Oxford. Liverpool, this church was bombed in WW2. St. Helen's Passage, where we walked through during the Ghost Tour (which was fascinating and very well guided I might add) where a lot of bloodshed occurred and where apparently there are lots of reports of a feeling of unease or anxiousness, and the smell of horses still residing from that day!
