More information on Municipalidad de Santiago
In 1785, JoaquÃn Toesca began construction of the current building. Later after successive earthquakes and fires, it began to be used as the illustrious Santiago City Hall. On its facade is the outstanding Santiago Coat of Arms, a gift from the King Carlos V of Spain.
