More information on Museum of Contemporary Pottery Art
Kerameikos, the place where the ancient potters had their workshops, is the most appropriate location for this museum dedicated to contemporary pottery art. Created by the Georgios Psaropoulos Family Foundation, the museum occupies a renovated 19th-century mansion. It includes more than 4,500 ceramic works of the last three centuries that showcase the art and skills of Greek potters. The museum also features reconstructions of pottery workshops, organises seminars and acts as a documentation centre of every aspect of traditional pottery with an extensive photo and film archive.
