Ever since 1912, this park which derives its name from the lush woods found in this region, has been a place of recreation and fun. With many open spaces, and playgrounds which include a wading pool, softball courts, as well as soccer fields, this park is usually frequented by sports enthusiasts. The park also functions as a venue for a variety of events.
