More information on Istavrit Kültür Külübü - Istavrit Culture Club
Istavrit is not just a café, but a multi-floor complex, filled to the roof with plenty of things to see, do, eat and buy. The ground floor is taken up by an alternative music and book store, the top floor is a video and DVD viewing room and the two floors in between are occupied by a café that feels much like a student common room. It's fast becoming a hugely popular place to hang out in Beyoglu, despite the ostentatious décor which is a little tacky - featuring obviously fake plants and wooden beams! The huge front windows are excellent for people-watching on Istiklal.
