The Dublin Fringe provides an exciting alternative to the official Theatre Festival's more mainstream productions. Boasting a wide and varied programme of over 50 performances in 27 venues across the city, the festival takes place in September or October annualy. The Fringe has hosted new plays by established Irish theatre companies such as Blue Raincoat, Meridian and Bedrock, in addition to international acts. Hours vary by event.
