H. Stern is the Rio-based, internationally-renowned jewelry chain founded by Hans, “the king of colored jewels”, Stern in 1945. Stern moved to Brazil after fleeing Germany at the start of World War II at the young age of seventeen. After working for a jewelling company for several years, he had earned enough capital to begin exporting and importing his own jewels. Today, H. Stern jewelers can be found all over Brazil, catering to the very finest tastes in precious stones.
