If you visit Geneva in late spring-summer, don't miss the harmoniously designed Rose Garden in the beautiful setting of the Parc de la Grange with its breathtaking view of the left bank of the lake. Over 200 different varieties of exquisite roses can be admired. They are flamboyant yellow, deep red, salmon orange, wild purple, pale pink or delicate white - and many are named after celebrities such as Charlie Chaplin, Catherine Deneuve or Gina Lollobrigida, In mid-June the very special International Competition of New Roses is held at the upper end of the Parc de la Grange. Every year, some 100 new rose varieties are judged by an international jury.
