The Vidy theater is the main place to watch contemporary acts in Lausanne, with two inside halls and one an exterior space, a bar and a bookstore dedicated to theater. The different stages give space for different styles of performances like contemporary and classical theater, concerts, circuses and puppet shows. Numerous acts by both Swiss and foreign theater companies make their debut at Vidy, before touring the world. There are sometimes performances in foreign languages (mainly German) also.
