More information on Marvel Cave

This is the attraction that spawned Silver Dollar City. This cave was originally called Marble Cave by its discoverers, who thought the incredible formations lining one wall were actually made of marble. But the name was changed to Marvel when that assumption was disproved. It is indeed a marvel. The entrance room is the largest cave entrance in the country. The cave is owned and operated by Silver Dollar City and the park entrance fee covers a guided tour of the depths. Touring the cave takes about 60 minutes and the trail descends more than 300 feet into the earth and requires maneuvering 600 stairs.
