It's a little hint of Dublin in the heart of Vieux Lyon. The Saint James serves up draft, whiskey, and a host of other spirits in a dark, cozy neighborhood bar catering to an international crowd, with a reduced-price student menu available. Pool tables are located in the basement, and brunch is the word on Sundays; nostalgic Anglo-Saxon expats and Continentals curious about how it's done across the Channel: eggs, bacon, sausage, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and a piping hot dish of Heinz baked beans, all for €8 (10 with juice and coffee). - Claudia Vance
