More information on Good Friday
On Good Friday, Christians commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ with special prayer services held at churches all over Singapore. A moving candlelit procession bearing the figure of the crucified Christ takes place at St Joseph's Church along Victoria Street. This church was built in the early part of the twentieth century to replace an earlier church erected by the Portuguese mission to Singapore.
