More information on Stadio Olimpico (Olympic Stadium)
Sports nuts and Italian football fans from all over the world should not miss a chance to catch a match at the Olympic Stadium, constructed in 1936. Home to both rivals Roma and Lazio, the stadium holds 82,000 fans and hosts numerous national and international sporting events. The next big event will be the 2009 UEFA Champions League Final match. Be sure to check out A.S. Roma and S.S. Lazio's websites for game schedules and ticket information. Huge concerts also play here with international artists such as U2, Madonna, R.E.M., the Rolling Stones, and Italian singers Vasco Rossi, Ligabue and Claudio Baglioni.
