For a relaxing day trip, take the Washington State Ferry to nearby Bainbridge Island. The ride takes half an hour, and during the trip you can enjoy fresh air and spectacular views of the Seattle skyline. Pick up maps and information at the island's tourist center, which is only a few steps from the pier on Bainbridge. Then take the easy walk into town, and visit quaint shops, cafes, restaurants and the Bainbridge Island Winery. You can also take a nice stroll along the waterfront.
