More information on Piccolo Teatro - Teatro Strehler

Piccolo Teatro was founded in Milano in 1947 by Paolo Grassi and Giorgio Strehler. In Italy, this was the first example of a stable theater company following the war. The curtain went up for the first time the night of May 14, 1947 with L'albergo dei poveri by Maxim Gorky. It has now grown to three performance rooms: one in via Rovello called Sala Grassi, an experimental theater Teatro Studio opened in 1987, and Teatro Strehler. Catch some of the most awaited Italian unconventional plays and shows, featured here the year round. Check website for details.
