Walk the valley without having to climb. This enjoyable loop has two parts: the full loop, which is 13 miles long, and the half loop, which is 6.5 miles long. Start at the Valley Visitor Center and pick up a detailed description of the route. Start in either direction, and you will find yourself discovering everything from the Merced River to a variety of fabulous viewpoints. But do not hesitate to deviate from the description. Finding your own adventures is part of the fun. Wear a hat and comfortable shoes, and bring water. Call ahead for hours.
