More information on Staten Island Ferry
Catch great views of Manhattan, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty by hopping on the Staten Island Ferry, a free 25 minute boat ride from Whitehall Terminal near Battery Park. Traveling to Staten Island and back to the harbor, the ferry carries over 70,000 passengers a day, including both excited tourists and locals heading to work. The ferries run every 15-20 minutes during the day, and passengers must off board after getting to Staten Island before returning back to Manhattan.
