More information on Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom

Formerly Six Flags World of Adventure, this local amusement park used to include SeaWorld Cleveland. That all changed at the start of the 2004 summer season, when Cedar Fair, L.P. (the same company that operates Cedar Point), purchased the historic property and reopened it with its original name, Geauga Lake. In 2005, the park constructed a new $24-million waterpark, called Wildwater Kingdom, on the 56 acres formerly operated by SeaWorld. In 2006, the park finished this expansion project with the addition of a new 30,000-square-foot wave pool called Tidal Wave Bay. The roller coaster X-Flight, which soars through eight loops, spins, and spirals at 51 mph, is a far cry from Geauga's first thrill ride, the Big Dipper roller coaster, which opened in 1926 (and is still in operation). Wildwater Kingdom, open Memorial Day through Labor Day, is included in the price of Geauga Lake admission. Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.
