More information on Museo etnológico de Ibiza
The Ethnology Museum, which was opened in 1994, is funded by the Consell Insular, the island's regional government. The exhibits include some of the anthropological and traditional aspects of life on Ibiza through the centuries. There are also videos that you can watch in the museum that explain local traditions such as the clothing, the music or the farming techniques. Admission costs 400 pesetas, and the museum is housed in an old, traditional-style house that was bought by the Consell Insular. Groups of school children and senior citizens who book in advance enter free. The museum can be reached on foot after a pleasant stroll through the area known as Puig de Missa.
