Harking back to a bygone age when afternoon teas attained ceremonial heights, this octagonal establishment was originally known as the Tea Kiosk. Windows give a 300-degree view of the surrounding gardens while a conservatory and patio allow for an alfresco repast. Botanic Gardens Cafe is a splendid place to take Devonshire tea of an afternoon, or perhaps a more substantial tiffin such as Bruncher's Delight with egg, and grilled cheese, or a Lamb Kofta. A mouth-watering selection of desserts is also on offer including cheese cake and sticky date pudding.
