    Beautiful place in Austin city. I did not even imagine before driving to Mt Bonnell that it would be so beautiful. A must visit !!!

Mount Bonnell lies alongside Lake Austin and has been a popular spot for tourists and locals since the mid-1800s for picnicking and more. It is also known as Covert Park. The biggest appeal of Mount Bonnell is the gorgeous views seen from its vista; the mount, at a height of 780 feet above mean sea level, provides views of the lake as well as the city of Austin.
