Located in the Barrio Histórico just a block away from El Tiradito shrine, this former general store (the building still has the old store name painted on the front wall) is now an unusual little inn filled with rustic Mexican antiques and Hispanic folk art. The two suites contain high-ceilinged living rooms that incorporate all manner of salvaged architectural details, colorful textiles, and original grocery-store fixtures. Each unit has a bedroom on the ground level and a second bedroom (rather dark but cool) down a flight of steps. Although this funky barrio B&B isn't for everyone, I love the old Mexican atmosphere and abundance of Hispanic art.
