Love trivia nights but you can't make it to the Monday/Tuesday night deals around? The Place is shaking it up with trivia on Thursdays, and $3 appetizers to top it off. Nothing exciting in the appetizer menu, but there's something incredibly comforting about the utter uniformity and predictability of cheese fries. Friday-Sunday, they return to being a bar trying to be a nightclub. Generally the atmosphere and service leaves much to be desired, unless you just want to watch TV. They also serve astonishingly mediocre pizza until 2 am! -Stephanie Bostic
