Juhu beach is hardly the place to take a dip in the ocean and sunbathe, what with all the vendors crowding the place with their stalls. Especially on weekends, a carnival type atmosphere prevails with horserides, dancing monkeys, food vendors and street entertainers. Make sure to taste the famous Pav Bhaji, which is a spicy curry of mixed vegetables and potatoes served with buttered bread and observe the thousands of Indian families making the most of the evening. The beach is lined up with luxury hotels and expensive apartments.
