The Blues Foundation, a Memphis-based organization that brings together 107 blues societies from around the world, sponsors this event, which includes both a conference on the blues (housed at the Radisson Hotel) and performances by artists competing in the challenge in many of the clubs on Beale Street. A USD12 wristband allows wearers entrance into all the clubs on Beale, while USD10 covers admission to the final competition at the New Daisy (The). The event culminates in the Keeping the Blues Alive award ceremony at the Radisson.
