Real Traveler reviews for French Quarter

More information on French Quarter

This is New Orleans' oldest and possibly dearest neighborhood. The French Quarter was the hub of the original New Orleans (founded in 1718), and today it maintains that vibe. Here you'll find Jackson Square, an open park famous as a gather place for artists, mimes, tarot readers, street performers, and caricaturists. The French Quarter is lined with historic buildings, like the St. Louis Cathedral, and is also home to Bourbon Street, a lively thoroughfare of infamous bars, historic hotels, and incredible restaurants. Come see where New Orleans began, and feel the unquenchable exuberance of this beloved southern city.
