The University of Utah Utes compete in many sports including football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, skiing, swimming, gymnastics, golf and track and field. The most popular teams with local sports spectators are football, basketball and gymnastics. Most indoor events take place in the Jon M. Huntsman Special Events Center, while Rice Stadium is home to the U of U football team. Collegiate sports seasons span the school year from August through June.
