One of Russia's leading musical directors Olga Ivanova founded this new musical theatre. The 'Arbat-opera' does not have a permanent troupe of actors and singers, instead performers are invited from other theatres in Moscow and Russia. Olga Ivanova tries to translate abstract music into real performances. The method of acting on stage is considered as important as the quality of singing. Their repertoire includes Rimsky-Korsakov's 'Mozart and Saliery', Bach's 'Coffee Cantatas' and other operas.
