Tennessee State University and Jackson State University of Mississippi, two historically African-American colleges in the Mid-South area, meet every year for this football classic. The weekend's festivities also include a golf tournament and the Memphis Rhythm and Blues Review, which is held at the Mid-South Coliseum.
