This extraordinary work of art was created by an Italian immigrant named Simon Rodia. He worked on it on and off for over three decades, finally completing it in 1954. Anyone visiting L.A. should see this ultra-creative work comprised of 17 major sculptures created from materials like scrap metal, bed frames, seashells, and pipes. The two towers spiral high into the air, and colorful mosaics stand at the entrance. Rodia called his awesome work "Nuestro Pueblo," which means "our town."
