More information on The Cloisters
This special branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art is located in beautiful Fort Tryon Park. Situated on a hill overlooking the Hudson River, the museum was created to house art from Medieval Europe in the Romanesque and Gothic periods. Find peace and quiet from hectic city life when you enter the cloisters, and enjoy sitting on a bench in the garden setting after marveling at the detailed artworks inside. Since this is a branch of the MET, you can visit both museums in the same day for the same cost.
