This facility is located just three miles from LAX and features horse racing. It was opened by Jack Warner of Warner Brothers fame in 1938 and included shareholders such as Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Joan Blondell and Walt Disney. The racetrack has been through a lot including a fire in 1949, but it is still a place where Los Angelenos can enjoy a day or evening with a beer and a dream of winning some money. General admission is USD6. The racing seasons are April through July and November to December. Open everyday from 10am onwards.
