More information on Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World

Even if you can't make it New Orleans for Mardi Gras, you can experience the dazzling, fantastical vibe at Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World any time of year. Here, you get to see where Mardi Gras is made. Blaine Kern (a.k.a. Mr. Mardi Gras) is the world's most lauded float builder -- his company is responsible for creating 75% of Mardi Gras' props and floats. On a tour of Mardi Gras World, you'll see some of the carnival's coolest floats, like Laviathan, a 140-foot sea monster, and the 240-foot Captain Eddie's S.S. Endymion. You may also dress up in costumes, see artists steeped in the creation process, and visit the float artists' warehouse.
