This well preserved 17th-century Anglo-Dutch water garden is something you shouldn't leave Antrim without visiting. There are only two such gardens in the country, and this is also one of the earliest of its kind to remain intact throughout the British Isles. Gardens from this period were often planted with medicinal plants and annexed to medical colleges. These gardens are authentically preserved with many of the original 17th-century medicinal plants still being planted and culled here. There are ornamental canals, an ancient motte and a parterre garden. Admission is free and a guided tour of the garden can be arranged by calling the number above.
