Keep your eyes peeled as you slowly climb Larkin Street with your back to the Bay. There will be not one but literally hundreds of wide-eyed girls, boys, and pets staring you down with "take me home" bewildered looks, all painted by Keane. The artist's signature style is all her own. Defying notions of race, gender and even age, these saucer stares have become a classic kitsch painting to hang, say, next to your velvet Elvis. The mysterious faces can be viewed up close by appointment only.
