More information on Maratona di Venezia
This marathon is held on the last Sunday in October and starts from the mainland in Stra and winds along the Riviera del Brenta and ends in Piazza San Marco. It is an amateur marathon in which anyone can take part. A relatively easy marathon course, the race takes participants through the charming streets of Venice, which are mostly flat and often downhill. It is a spectacle that is best viewed from the Zattere bridge. The marathon is free for spectators.
