More information on Santa Cruz Chowder Cook Off
For the past 25 years, cooks and connoisseurs alike have gathered on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for one reason: clam chowder. During the last week in February, this annual event provides a fun and very tasty way to spend a day at the beach, with cooks from all over the west pitting their best clam chowder against one another's. Visitors may taste to their heart's content, and even purchase tasting kits which contain a myriad of samples. Admission is free.
